Next, transfer to Pak Klong Talat, Bangkok’s primary flower market, bustling with vibrant colours and activity 24/7. The market offers a variety of flowers sold to wholesalers and the public, often transformed into garlands by street vendors for good luck or offerings. Previously a floating fish market, Pak Klong Talat has thrived as a flower market for over six decades.

Explore the essence of Bangkok with a half-day tour of Rattanakosin Island, situated at its heart. Begin your journey at Wat Pho, a revered Buddhist temple complex known as the ‘Royal Monastery’ (Wat Luang), owing to its proximity to the Grand Palace and its significance in Thai-Buddhist heritage. Its most renowned feature is the Reclining Buddha, a 46-metre-long figure symbolizing Buddha’s entry into Nirvana, with its feet adorned with 108 panels portraying auspicious Buddhist symbols such as elephants, flowers, dancers, and tigers.

Next, proceed on foot to The Grand Palace, a majestic complex housing royal and religious structures and serving as the official residence of Thailand’s kings since 1782. Transfer to Suvarnabhumi Airport for your departure flight to Phuket (details to be advised).

Upon arrival at Phuket Airport, you will be greeted by your local guide at the Domestic Arrival Hall and transferred privately to your hotel in Phuket for check-in and an overnight stay.

Commence your day with a scenic drive up a wooded hill to visit the Phuket Big Buddha, an iconic seated statue erected in 2004, commanding views over Phuket. Despite being 80% complete, the Buddha remains a striking symbol of the island's spirituality. Take a stroll around the base, soaking in panoramic vistas of Phuket and Ao Chalong Bay, and perhaps join local monks for a serene meditation session beneath its shadow.

Descend the hill and proceed to Wat Chalong, Phuket's largest Buddhist temple and a revered historical site dating back to the 19th century. Explore its intricate architecture and pay respects to the 2 revered monks Luang Pho Cham and Luang Pho Chuang. Discover a replica of a traditional Thai house where the monks resided, followed by a visit to the 60 metre tall Chedi which houses a splinter of Buddha's bone. The three floor building is adorned with exquisite murals and golden buddha statues and from the top floor you can enjoy panoramic views over Phuket.

Explore the eclectic array of shops selling goods reflecting Phuket's diverse cultural heritage, from Chinese teas to European antiques, Chinese Temples and local food stalls as well as art galleries.

Conclude your tour with a visit to the Thai Hua Museum, housed in a charming Sino-Portuguese mansion dating back to the 1930s, offering insights into the lives of Phuket's Hokkien Chinese community. Then, explore the Chinpracha House Museum, owned by Mr. Tan, showcasing traditional Chinese furniture dating back to the Qing dynasty (1636 - 1911) and European antiques amidst its original architectural splendour.
