Begin your morning on the oldest street in Cairo, immersing yourself in the tranquillity of Islamic mosques away from the crowds. Guided by local experts, discover hidden gems and exclusive sites not typically accessible.

Enjoy a traditional Egyptian breakfast before heading to the iconic Pyramids and Sphinx, guided by our knowledgeable expert. Our journey continues with a visit to the renowned Egyptian National Museum at Tahrir Square, delving into the captivating tapestry of pharaonic history, including the legendary Tutankhamun exhibition. If available and time permitting, an optional visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum can be arranged to witness its vast collection.

Accompanied by an expert guide, we'll have the opportunity to explore the fields, factories, schools, training centres, and healthcare facilities within the SEKEM community. It's a chance to gain insight into their innovative approach to sustainable living and witness the positive impact they have on the environment and local communities.

You’ll then enjoy a delightful lunch sourced from organic ingredients, served in the community restaurant where everyone is considered equal, be it owners, management, or staff. After a satisfying meal, be sure to visit the community shop, where you can browse and purchase a range of items such as bags, t-shirts, and children's clothing, all made from organic cotton. Additionally, the shop offers handmade crafts and food products. It's worth noting that a significant portion, 80%, of the community's products are exported, contributing to a better quality of life for its members.

After lunch, we will head to the airport to catch our flight to Aswan, a city known for its captivating beauty and vibrant culture. The rest of the day is yours to explore the village, interact with the locals, and enjoy a calm night's sleep.

Today, discover the Aswan Dam, which held the distinction of being the largest dam in the world at the time of construction. After the informative tour of the Aswan Dam, embark on a Nile cruise adventure.

After lunch, enjoy a relaxing Felucca Ride on the Nile, taking you around Kitchner Island. Absorb the serene beauty of the river and the surrounding landscape as you glide along the water.

Although you have dinner included on your boat, in the evening, you will have the option to support a local family-owned restaurant named King Jamaica, where the mother prepares dinner, and the rest of the family members serve customers. It is one of the best local restaurants with the highest reviews ever.

After lunch, your time in Luxor comes to an end, it's time to bid farewell to the wonders of this remarkable city. Our dedicated team will be there to assist you in making your way to the seaside, in El Gouna, where you will have a wonderful time swimming and snorkelling in its beautiful beaches.

While tipping isn't mandatory, a small gesture of generosity is always appreciated, especially given the modest wages many workers receive. Onboard a Nile Cruise tips are $5 per person per day and will be collected at check-out.

Within the itinerary there are some stops to the local shops. Please inform the guide if you do not wish to stop. The stops will be made to shops that, although slightly more expensive, they guarantee you can return the goods, even after coming back home.

A visa is required for entry into Egypt. British passport holders need a visa for visits of up to 30 days. You can obtain a visa on arrival by making payment in Sterling, US Dollars, or Euros. The visa fee is US$25. You can purchase the visa on your own from the bank kiosks within the airport arrival halls before reaching the immigration counters. Alternatively, our representative can provide a full visa service and assistance for $30 per person. Please note that your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Egypt. Visa requirements are subject to change, and obtaining a visa is the responsibility of the traveller. We recommend checking with your destination's tourist board or embassy prior to departure for the most up-to-date guidelines on visas and passport validity.

This tour is accessible to most people with a good level of fitness and normal mobility. It involves the climbing of steep stairs and uneven ground during the excursions, and getting on and off coaches/vehicles and boats. In Cairo, where the excursions are private, they can be taken at a slower pace but the excursions onboard the Nile Cruiser are with other passengers, so cannot be modified, although passengers can always take the option of staying onboard.

The currency in Egypt is the Egyptian pound but USD is the favourite currency. We recommend that you exchange your currency before you leave the UK. However, cash machines are available in all the major cities to withdraw money in the local currency.
